EasyPost shipping tracking
The EasyPost integration brings live shipment tracking into Deskwoot so your agents can answer "where's my order?" without switching tabs. When it's connected, tracking details (the carrier, the latest status, and where the package is) show up in the conversation sidebar, right next to the customer you're replying to.
EasyPost works with most major carriers, so the same view covers USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and others. That means one place to check status no matter who's carrying the package.
What does the EasyPost integration do?
"Where is my order?" is one of the most common questions any support team gets. Normally answering it means leaving the helpdesk, opening a carrier site, pasting in a tracking number, and reading back what you find. The EasyPost integration removes that round trip. Tracking status appears in the sidebar of the conversation, so you can confirm the latest scan and give the customer a straight answer in the same reply.
- See the current shipment status (in transit, out for delivery, delivered, exception) without leaving the conversation.
- See which carrier is handling the package and the most recent tracking event.
- Keep everything in one screen, so handling shipping questions stays fast even at volume.
How do I connect EasyPost to Deskwoot?
- Get your EasyPost API key. Log in to your EasyPost account, open the API Keys section, and copy the key you want to use.
- Open the integration in Deskwoot. Go to Settings > Integrations > EasyPost.
- Paste your API key into the field and save.
- Confirm it's connected. The integration status should switch to connected, and tracking details start appearing in the conversation sidebar for shipments tied to that account.
Where do I see tracking information?
Tracking shows up in the sidebar of the conversation, the same panel where Deskwoot surfaces customer and order details. Open a conversation that has a shipment attached and you'll see the carrier, the latest status, and the most recent tracking event without going anywhere else.
Troubleshooting
- No tracking is showing. Double-check that the API key in Settings > Integrations > EasyPost is correct and still active in your EasyPost account. A key that was rotated in EasyPost will stop working in Deskwoot.
- Status looks out of date. Tracking reflects the carrier's latest scan through EasyPost. If the carrier hasn't scanned the package recently, the status won't move until they do.
- Wrong account. If you use separate EasyPost accounts, make sure the key you connected belongs to the account that created the shipments you're trying to track.
