How does the AI Live Chat Bot work?
You have two options: Use the Deskwoot AI Bot (powered by Anthropic) with included conversations per plan (100 for Startup, 200 for Business, 300 for Enterprise), or connect your own OpenAI / Anthropic API key for unlimited use at your provider's rates. The bot handles customer inquiries automatically, provides instant responses 24/7, and seamlessly hands off to your support agents when needed.
What counts as an AI chatbot conversation?
An AI chatbot conversation is counted each time the Deskwoot AI Bot starts responding to a new visitor in your live chat widget. It includes all messages within that chat session, whether 2 or 20 messages. Once the visitor leaves or the conversation is resolved, any new interaction counts as a new conversation.
What happens when I exceed my included AI chatbot conversations?
Additional conversations are charged from your prepaid balance at a per-conversation rate ($0.03 for Startup, $0.02 for Business, $0.01 for Enterprise). You can set up auto-recharge to keep your bot running without interruption. If your balance reaches $0, the AI chatbot pauses until you top up.
What's the difference between AI Bot and AI Copilot?
The AI Bot is a customer-facing chatbot that automatically responds to visitors on your live chat. AI Copilot is an agent-facing tool that suggests replies, summarizes conversations, and helps your team respond faster. The Bot is available from the Startup plan; Copilot from Business.
What counts as a conversation?
A conversation is a single thread between your team and a customer, regardless of how many messages it contains. The Hacker plan includes 500/month, Startup includes 1,000/month, and Business/Enterprise plans have unlimited conversations.
How does per-agent pricing work?
You only pay for agents who need to log in and respond to conversations. Contacts (your customers) are always unlimited and free. You can add or remove agent seats at any time.
Can I change plans at any time?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes are prorated based on your billing cycle.
Are there any hidden costs?
No hidden costs. WhatsApp and SMS may incur third-party messaging fees from Meta and your SMS provider respectively, but Deskwoot itself has transparent, straightforward pricing.
Which channels are available on each plan?
The Hacker plan includes website live chat only. All paid plans (Startup, Business, Enterprise) include every channel: Email, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, SMS, and Twitter/X.
Can I migrate from another platform?
Yes. Deskwoot supports importing contacts and conversation history. If you're switching from Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, or similar tools, our support team can help with the migration.
