Yes. WhatsApp customer support is part of the unified inbox. Incoming WhatsApp messages, replies, and media land in the same thread view as email and live chat, so you can switch channels mid-conversation without losing context. Templates, business-account features, and read receipts are all supported on iPhone.

How does AI customer service work in the iPhone app?

Tap the AI Copilot button in any conversation. The app sends the thread plus any connected Shopify, WooCommerce, or Stripe data to the model. Claude returns a suggested reply, which you can edit, shorten, translate, or send as-is. Same quality as the desktop AI customer service drafts.

Which iOS version does the app need?

iOS 17 or later. The app uses modern push notification APIs and the Shortcuts framework for one-tap AI Copilot drafting, both of which require iOS 17 as a minimum.

Does the customer service app support Android?

Not yet. Android is on the roadmap. For now, Android users can bookmark the Deskwoot dashboard as a home-screen shortcut and get a usable mobile experience via the responsive web UI.

Does the app use my phone battery heavily?

No. Push notifications use Apple's native APNs, so the app itself runs only when open. Badge sync is debounced to minimize background wakeups. Typical battery usage is under 1% per day for a moderately active support agent.
