The Deskwoot iOS app: answer customers from your phone
The Deskwoot iOS app lets you read and reply to customer conversations straight from your iPhone, so you are not tied to a laptop to keep support moving. It is live on the App Store today. An Android app is on the way but is not released yet, so for now the mobile app is iPhone only.
What can you do in the app?
The app is built for the things you actually do on the go, not a stripped-back viewer. You can:
- Read incoming conversations across your connected channels in one inbox.
- Reply to customers and send private notes to teammates.
- Get a push notification when a new message arrives or a conversation is assigned to you.
- Assign, reassign, and change the status of a conversation (open, snoozed, resolved).
- See contact details for the person you are talking to.
It is the same account and the same conversations you see on the web, just on your phone. Anything you do in the app shows up instantly for the rest of your team on the desktop dashboard.
How do I get the Deskwoot iOS app?
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for Deskwoot.
- Tap to install, then open the app.
- Sign in with the same email and password you use on the web dashboard.
Once you are signed in, your inboxes and conversations load automatically. There is nothing extra to configure.
Do I need to turn on notifications?
Yes, if you want to be alerted to new messages. iOS asks for notification permission the first time you open the app. If you skip it, you can turn it back on later under Settings > Notifications > Deskwoot on your iPhone. Without notifications the app still works, but you will have to open it to see what is new.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. An Android app is planned, but only the iOS app is available right now. If you are on Android, you can still use Deskwoot from your phone's web browser by signing in to the dashboard, and we will let customers know when the Android app ships.
Does the app cost extra?
No. The iOS app is included with your Deskwoot account on every plan, including the free Hacker plan. You sign in with your existing account and there is no separate charge for using it.
