White-label your help center (remove "Powered by Deskwoot")
Hide the "Powered by Deskwoot" footer on your public help center. Enterprise only.
By default, every public help center page on Deskwoot shows a small footer at the bottom of the page that reads "YourPortalName is a Help Center, Powered by Deskwoot". This is the same kind of attribution most help desk and knowledge base tools include on their free and lower tiers.
On the Enterprise plan you can hide the footer entirely so the help center looks fully white-labeled. Combined with a custom domain, the result is a help center that visitors cannot tell is hosted on Deskwoot.
Turning on white-label
- Open Help Center in the dashboard and select the portal you want to white-label.
- Switch to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the White-label section and turn on Hide "Powered by Deskwoot" footer.
- The change applies instantly. Open the public help center in a new tab to verify the footer is gone.
What gets hidden
- The "YourPortalName is a Help Center, Powered by Deskwoot" line at the bottom of every help center page.
- The link that previously took visitors back to deskwoot.com.
The rest of the page is unaffected. Your logo, brand color, custom domain, articles, search, and category navigation all continue to work exactly as before.
What is not affected
- The Deskwoot login screen and dashboard. These are tools for your team and remain unchanged.
- Outbound emails sent through Deskwoot. They use your own configured sender domain.
- The live chat widget on your website. Its "Powered by Deskwoot" badge is controlled separately in Inbox, then Widget settings.
Plan requirements
White-label is included with the Enterprise plan. On Hacker, Startup, and Business plans the toggle is visible but locked, with a hover tooltip explaining the requirement and a link to upgrade. If you cancel Enterprise or downgrade, the toggle reverts to off at the end of the current billing period.
Combining white-label with a custom domain
White-label is most effective when combined with a custom domain such as help.yourcompany.com. With both turned on, visitors land on your domain, see your branding, and the footer no longer mentions Deskwoot. See the article Set up a custom domain for your help center for the DNS setup walkthrough.
Going further with a custom footer
If you want to replace the footer rather than just remove it, the Enterprise plan also lets you build a custom footer with your own link columns and a copyright line, or paste raw footer HTML to mirror your marketing site exactly. See Advanced help center branding for that and for favicon, custom CSS, header HTML, and web fonts.
Frequently asked questions
Does white-label hide Deskwoot from email notifications too?
It hides Deskwoot from the help center pages. Email notifications sent through Deskwoot have their own from-address settings; configure those under Inbox settings if you want them to use your domain.
Can I customize the footer instead of hiding it entirely?
Yes, on Enterprise. The white-label toggle removes the Deskwoot attribution, and the custom footer fields let you add your own link columns, a copyright line, or raw footer HTML. See Advanced help center branding for the setup.
What happens to white-label if I downgrade from Enterprise?
The toggle reverts to off at the end of the current billing period, so the "Powered by Deskwoot" footer comes back on the public pages once you leave Enterprise.
