What you get
Fynn offers only the times your Tabology booking widget offers for the party, with your booking times and free tables applied.
The booking goes into Tabology under the guest's name, for 2 hours, with seating wishes or the occasion in its notes.
Right before Fynn books, Deskwoot checks the time with Tabology again, in case the table was taken in the meantime.
When you confirm or decline a request in Tabology, or cancel a confirmed booking, Deskwoot picks it up and the guest hears it in the conversation.
How to connect
Summary
Guests ask for a table on WhatsApp, in your website chat or by email, often while your team is busy with service. Fynn asks for the number of guests, the day and time and the name to book under. Then he offers only the times your Tabology booking widget offers for that party, with your booking times and free tables already applied.
Seating wishes and the occasion go into the notes of the booking. Fynn never asks about allergies or health and passes on only what the guest tells him. Right before he books, Deskwoot checks the time with Tabology again, and every table is booked for 2 hours. Tabology sends the guest its own booking email.
You choose who decides new bookings: your team confirms each one with 1 tap, or Fynn books on his own after the guest's yes. With auto confirm on in Tabology, a booking is confirmed at once. Without it, the booking is a request that you confirm in Tabology. Deskwoot checks your Tabology bookings for changes itself: a request you confirm or decline reaches the conversation within about 5 minutes, a cancellation of a confirmed booking within about an hour, and the guest hears it there.
Tabology is a UK EPOS and booking system for pubs, bars and restaurants. To connect, you ask Tabology for an API client for Deskwoot, and Tabology sends you a client ID and a client secret. In Deskwoot you enter your back office address, that client, the email and password of a back office user and your venue's time zone, then switch on your venue and give it the name guests know it by. If you disconnect later, your bookings stay in Tabology.
Table reservations through Tabology are in beta. You can connect Tabology on every plan, and Fynn books tables on every paid plan, the 7 day trial included. If something does not work the way you expect, write to hello@deskwoot.com.
