When Fynn does not know
When someone asks for a person, when your content has no answer or when only your team can help, Fynn hands the conversation over. It leaves a short note for your team: the issue in one sentence, the customer's mood and a suggested next step. The app for iPhone and Android sends a push notification, and it is free on every plan.
What Fynn does not do
Fynn answers only from your own content. It does not make up what is not there, and it never promises what only you can promise.
No medical advice
No diagnosis, no dosage, no assessment. Fynn does not ask about symptoms and does not repeat them.No calendar
Fynn cannot see your calendar and does not book appointments. No prescriptions or referrals
Fynn does not handle requests for prescriptions or referrals.Does not replace the practice phone
Fynn answers written messages, not calls. No connection to practice software
Fynn is not connected to your practice software or your appointment system.
Data protection
Health data is especially protected. Fynn does not ask about symptoms and gives no medical advice. On every channel, patients can tell that they are writing to an AI assistant, and when asked, Fynn says so plainly. The app and its database run in EU data centers (Netherlands), and you sign the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR in the dashboard. It includes a confidentiality obligation for professional secrets under § 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) that also covers our service providers. For Fynn's answers, conversation content goes to our AI provider Anthropic, which does not use it to train its models. Voice messages from WhatsApp and Telegram are turned into text by AssemblyAI on its servers in the EU, which does not use them to train its models either. Some service providers process data outside the EEA; the DPA lists each one with its region. Your practice remains the controller: you name the chat in your privacy policy, and with your data protection officer you check the data protection impact assessment and whether email or WhatsApp with patients suits your practice.
Your channels
Every message lands in one inbox, and Fynn answers on each channel you connect.

Common questions
The short answers are here. For anything else, ask Fynn below.
What is the best AI for a dental practice?
For written enquiries, one that answers only from your own content and gives no medical advice. Fynn answers practical questions by email and website chat and passes anything medical to your team. For phone calls you need another solution; Fynn does not take calls.
How does an online front desk with Fynn work?
Patients write by website chat or email. Fynn answers questions about opening hours, directions, new patients and how to book from your website. What it must not or cannot answer it passes to your team with a short note, and your team replies in the same inbox.
Does Fynn give medical advice?
No. Fynn gives no diagnosis, no dosage and no opinion on a treatment, not even general tips. Asked whether to take a painkiller until the appointment, it says it cannot give a recommendation and refers the patient to your team.
Is AI replacing receptionists?
No. Fynn answers written questions that your website already answers and does not take calls. Your team keeps the phone, the calendar and everything medical, and gets fewer of the same questions by email.
Can a practice use WhatsApp?
Technically yes: Deskwoot connects WhatsApp through the WhatsApp Business Platform. For practices it is not preselected, because health data is especially protected. Whether it suits your practice is best checked with your data protection officer. Our data processing agreement is at deskwoot.com/dpa.
Where is the data stored?
The app and its database run in EU data centers in the Netherlands. Some service providers process data outside the EEA, for example for sending email and push notifications; the DPA lists each one with its region. For Fynn's answers, conversation content goes to our AI provider Anthropic, which does not use it to train its models. In the Deskwoot app, push notifications for practices show only the conversation number by default, without the patient's name or the message; admins can change this in Account Settings.
