Fynn answers your customer messages

AI for hair and beauty salons that answers clients while you work

Fynn answers questions about prices, timings and gift cards from your price list, shares your booking link and passes anything unusual to your team. On WhatsApp, website chat or your own chat link.

Fynn writes, it does not take calls, and it cannot see your calendar. No credit card needed.

Sound familiar?

  • You have the scissors in your hand, and your phone buzzes.
  • What do highlights cost? Are you free tomorrow? The price list is online, and people ask anyway.
  • Cancellations come in on WhatsApp shortly before the appointment and get lost in the chat history.

The questions that come in every day

These are the questions Deskwoot suggests for your industry when you set it up. Fynn answers them from your website and your documents.

  • How can I book an appointment?
  • Where can I find your prices?
  • How long does a treatment take?
  • I can't make my appointment. What should I do?
  • What are your opening hours?
  • Can I book with a specific stylist?
  • Do you sell gift vouchers?
Sample: how Fynn could reply
Fynn
  1. Hi, how much are highlights for short hair?
  2. Highlights start at $75, depending on the work. Your stylist confirms the exact price before starting.
  3. Can I come today?
  4. I can't see free slots. The booking link shows every open time for today: booking link.

How Fynn helps

Prices and timings

Fynn answers questions about prices and timings from your price list, starting prices exactly as written. If a price depends on the effort, it says your team confirms it.

Appointment requests

Fynn shares your booking link. Without one, it asks for the service, preferred time, preferred stylist, name and phone number and passes everything to your team.

Cancellations

Fynn shares your cancellation rules, asks for name and appointment date and passes the cancellation to your team.

Opening hours and gift cards

When you are open and how to get a gift card: Fynn answers from your website. Without a website, share your chat link, for example in your social media profile.

When Fynn does not know

When someone asks for a person, when your content has no answer or when only your team can help, Fynn hands the conversation over. It leaves a short note for your team: the issue in one sentence, the customer's mood and a suggested next step. The app for iPhone and Android sends a push notification, and it is free on every plan.

What Fynn does not do

Fynn answers only from your own content. It does not make up what is not there, and it never promises what only you can promise.

  • No calendar

Fynn cannot see your calendar and never says a slot is free.
  • No connection to booking tools

No reminders and nothing automatic for clients who do not show up. Fynn shares your booking link.
  • No advice on skin or health

Questions about skin, allergies or health are for your team to answer in person.
  • Voice messages only on WhatsApp and Telegram

There Fynn reads voice messages as an automatic transcript and answers them. On other channels audio lands in the conversation for your team.
  • Not on Instagram or Facebook Messenger

Fynn does not answer messages on Instagram or Facebook Messenger at the moment. Share your chat link in your profile instead.
  • No phone calls

Fynn answers written messages, not calls.

Your channels

Every message lands in one inbox, and Fynn answers on each channel you connect.

  • WhatsApp

Through the WhatsApp Business Platform, connected with Connect with Meta. The free WhatsApp Business app on your phone is not the same thing and does not work in a shared inbox. Meta bills its fees to you directly, with no markup from us. Fynn also answers voice messages there, from an automatic transcript.

  • Email

Forward your current address to Deskwoot, on any plan. Customers keep writing to the address they know. From the Startup plan you can connect your mailbox directly and reply from your own address.

  • Website chat

A small code on your website, with guides for WordPress and Shopify. No website? Your chat has its own link you can share, for example in your social media profile or your email signature.

Up and running in a few steps

Deskwoot walks you through the setup step by step, with the questions and channels of your industry.

  • 1. Fynn reads your website

Fynn reads the public pages of your website and writes a short summary of your business. You check it and choose how Fynn sounds.
  • 2. Check the answers

You go through the typical questions of your industry and fill the gaps your website leaves open.
  • 3. Try Fynn out

You ask Fynn the questions your customers ask and see how it answers before anyone else does.
  • 4. Connect WhatsApp

You connect your WhatsApp Business number, so WhatsApp messages land in your inbox and Fynn can answer them.
  • 5. Connect your email

Customers keep writing to the address they know, and every email lands in your inbox.
  • 6. Chat on your website

You add a small code to your website once, or share your chat link if you have no website.
  • 7. Invite your team

You invite the people who answer customers with you. Each person sets up their own login.

What it costs

Try everything free for 7 days, no credit card needed. After that, Fynn comes with the Startup plan at $3.20 per agent per month, billed annually. It includes 50 AI conversations a month for the whole workspace, and each further one costs $0.07 from a prepaid AI balance.

Example: a business with 3 people pays $9.60 a month on Startup, billed annually.

The free Hacker plan stays open to you afterwards, without Fynn.

Data protection

The app and its database run in EU data centers (Netherlands). You sign the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR right in the dashboard. For Fynn's answers, conversation content goes to our AI provider Anthropic, which does not use it to train its models. Voice messages from WhatsApp and Telegram are turned into text by AssemblyAI on its servers in the EU, which does not use them to train its models either. Some service providers process data outside the EEA, for example for sending email and push notifications; the DPA lists each one with its region.

Common questions

The short answers are here. For anything else, ask Fynn below.

How much does a salon chatbot cost?

Fynn starts at $3.20 per agent per month, billed annually, on the Startup plan. It includes 50 AI conversations a month for the whole workspace, and each further one costs $0.07 from a prepaid AI balance. You can try everything free for 7 days, no credit card needed.

Is there an online booking tool for hairdressers?

Fynn is not one. If you already use a booking tool, Fynn shares its link when clients ask for an appointment. Without one, it collects the appointment requests and passes them to your team.

Can Fynn book appointments?

No. Fynn cannot see your calendar and never says a slot is free. It shares your booking link or collects the service, preferred time, name and phone number for your team.

Does it work without a website of my own?

Yes. Your chat has its own link you can share anywhere, for example in your social media profile. Fynn then learns from your price list as a PDF and from questions and answers you write yourself.

Does Fynn answer Instagram messages?

Not at the moment. Fynn answers on WhatsApp, website chat, email and the other Deskwoot channels, not on Instagram or Facebook Messenger. You can put your chat link in your Instagram profile, though.

Can AI replace hairdressers?

No. Fynn does not cut, colour or advise. It takes the questions off your phone that your price list already answers, so you can keep working.
