Fynn reserves tables in aleno, right in the chat
Connect aleno, and Fynn offers your guests free tables in the conversation and reserves the one they pick, straight into your aleno reservation book. Table reservations are in beta and come with every paid plan.
Overview
Guests ask for a table on WhatsApp, in your website chat or by email, often while your team is busy with service. Fynn asks for the number of guests, the day and time and the name to book under. Then he offers only times aleno shows as free for that party, with your shifts, capacity, online limits and holidays already applied.
Seating wishes and the occasion go into the note of the reservation. Fynn never asks about allergies or health and passes on only what the guest tells him. Every reservation shows as a card in its conversation, with its status in aleno, such as confirmed, cancelled or guest arrived, and a button that opens it in aleno.
You choose who decides new reservations, cancellations and moves: your team with 1 tap on the card, or Fynn after the guest's yes. Restaurants do best when Fynn books on his own, because aleno holds no table while your team confirms. When a time needs a card guarantee or a payment, or the party is bigger than you take online, Fynn hands the conversation to your team. A cancellation or move that may cost the guest a fee is always your team's decision.
To connect, the account owner or an admin in aleno creates an API user under Users/Roles and copies its token. You paste the token in Deskwoot, then pick the restaurants Fynn may book and the name guests know each one by. Tables need no appointment types or bookable hours, because the free times, the party sizes and the time zone come from aleno.

Getting started
Connect aleno in 4 steps.
- In aleno, open the menu at the top right, go to Users/Roles and click New User under API Users, with Deskwoot as the name of the integration.
- Copy the token from the login data. aleno shows it only once.
- In Deskwoot, open Settings → Integrations and click the aleno card. Under Restaurant system, click Connect aleno, paste the token and click Connect.
- Switch on the restaurants Fynn may book, give each the name guests see and click Save restaurants. Then turn on Fynn offers free times and click Save booking rules.
