EU data residency
All Deskwoot infrastructure migrated to europe-west4 (Netherlands) for full EU data residency.
Why we're building this
EU customers and procurement teams needed to know that ticket data, customer contacts, and AI processing stayed inside the EU under GDPR and Schrems II.
What it does
We moved every service (app, Postgres, cron jobs, file storage, ClamAV) to Netherlands-based infrastructure and updated DPAs accordingly.
In April 2026 we completed the EU migration. Every byte of customer data now lives in europe-west4 (Netherlands). The application servers, Postgres database, scheduled jobs, file storage, and antivirus pipeline all run inside the EU.
This unlocks Deskwoot for regulated industries (healthcare, finance, public sector) and German Mittelstand procurement teams that had EU-residency hard requirements. Existing data was migrated with zero downtime via point-in-time replication.
The migration also shipped a new cookieless chat mode, isolated file storage per tenant, and updated DPA templates aligned with the new infrastructure.
