EU data residency
Deskwoot's servers and database moved to europe-west4 (Netherlands), so conversations and contacts are stored in the EU.
Why we built it
EU customers and procurement teams needed to know that conversations, customer contacts and AI processing stay inside the EU under GDPR and Schrems II.
What it does
We moved the app, the Postgres database, the cron jobs and the ClamAV virus scan to servers in the Netherlands, and updated the DPA to match.
In April 2026 we finished the move to the EU. Conversations and contacts are now stored in europe-west4 (Netherlands). The application servers, the Postgres database, the scheduled jobs and the antivirus scan all run there.
That opens Deskwoot to regulated industries (healthcare, finance, public sector) and to German Mittelstand buyers who require EU data residency.
The migration also brought a cookieless chat mode and DPA templates that match the new setup.
