Discord customer support, answered from your shared inbox
Connect your Discord server, and the questions people ask in the channels you pick come into your Deskwoot inbox. Each thread or forum post is one conversation, and your team answers in the same thread.
Overview
Communities, game studios and software teams often get their questions on Discord, in busy channels where a question is easy to miss. Connect your Discord server, pick the text channels and forums whose questions should come in, and each question becomes a conversation in Deskwoot, next to your email, live chat and WhatsApp.
Setup takes a few minutes. Click Connect a Discord server, pick your server on Discord's own page and allow the Deskwoot bot. You need the right to manage that server. Deskwoot never sees your Discord password, and the bot gets no administrator rights: it cannot delete or edit anyone's messages. Each server is its own inbox.
A forum post is one conversation. A new message in a text channel gets a thread, and when the same person writes again within 2 minutes, that joins the same conversation. A thread someone opens is one conversation too. Other people who write in the thread show up with their own name. Deskwoot never reads direct messages, channels you did not connect or messages from before you connected.
Your team answers from Deskwoot, on the web or in the app, and the answer shows up in the same thread under the teammate's name. Formatting stays, files of up to 20 MB go along, and a reply never pings everyone or a role. When a question needs personal details, like an order number, move it into a private thread that only the person, your team and the server's moderators can see. People can also pick Ask privately in Discord themselves.
Fynn can answer first, from the Startup plan. For each channel you choose whether he answers in every new thread, only when someone mentions the Deskwoot bot, or not at all. Other people can read a thread, so Fynn never shares account or order details there: he moves the conversation into a private thread and hands it to your team. When a conversation is resolved or opens again, the bot can post a short line in the thread.
