Today we released the Deskwoot customer support app for iPhone on the Apple App Store. Every Deskwoot plan, free and paid, includes it at no extra cost.

What the app does

The iOS app is a proper Deskwoot experience in your pocket, not a stripped-down viewer. Everything your agents do on the web dashboard, they can do on the phone:

  • Unified inbox across live chat, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, and every channel you have connected
  • Reply to conversations, assign them, label them, mark resolved, snooze
  • AI Co-Pilot draft replies, summaries, and translations, one tap away
  • Contact profiles with the full cross-channel conversation history
  • Private notes and @mentions for your team
  • Push alerts the moment a visitor wants to chat, a message arrives, or the AI bot hands a conversation back
  • Available in English, German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Hindi with automatic device language detection

Why this matters

Customer support does not run on a 9 to 5 schedule. The best teams we see already answer from their phone during commutes, after hours, weekends. Until today they were doing it through the web app on a browser, which is clumsy on a small screen. Now it is a real native app: fast, notification-first, built for one-handed use.

Especially for teams using WhatsApp, this closes a gap. WhatsApp happens in everyone's pocket. Your support tool should be there too.

What is next

Multi-account support (switching between multiple Deskwoot workspaces inside the app) is the next feature we are working on. Android is also on the roadmap.

If you hit any rough edges in the iOS app, email hello@deskwoot.com. We reply personally.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers on the topics covered above.

Is the Deskwoot iOS app free?

Yes. The Deskwoot iOS app is free on every plan, including the free tier. There is no upcharge for mobile access. Agents use the same login as the web dashboard and see the same conversations, contacts, and reports.

What can I do in the Deskwoot iOS app?

The iOS app is a full Deskwoot experience, not a viewer. You reply to conversations across every connected channel, send attachments, add private notes, change status and assignee, create CSAT surveys, view reports, and receive push notifications for new conversations and mentions. Anything an agent does on the web works on the phone.

Does the Deskwoot iOS app support push notifications?

Yes. Push notifications fire for new conversations on inboxes you are assigned to, for messages on conversations assigned to you, and for @mentions in private notes. You configure which event types trigger pushes in Settings > Notifications, and quiet hours respect your phone's Do Not Disturb schedule.

Which iOS versions are supported by the Deskwoot app?

The Deskwoot iOS app requires iOS 16 or later. It ships in 4 languages (English, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi) and uses native iOS APIs for push notifications, biometric login (Face ID and Touch ID), and offline conversation drafting.

Is there an Android version of the Deskwoot app?

The Android version is in active development. iOS launched first because that is where the early customer base sits. For now Android users get a fully responsive web app on Chrome and Firefox that supports the same flows except push notifications, which require the native app.
