Search and jump with the command bar
Press Cmd+K or Ctrl+K anywhere in the dashboard to jump to a page, start a conversation or find conversations and contacts.

Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux to open the command bar from anywhere in the dashboard. You can also click Search in the rail on the left (see Understanding the dashboard). Type to jump to a page, start a new conversation, switch between light and dark mode, or find conversations and contacts.
What you can find
- Navigation: the main pages (Conversations, Contacts, Reports, Campaigns, Help Center, and MCP Control for administrators on Enterprise) and Settings. Pages your role cannot open are left out. A page your plan does not include shows "Available on" and the plan that has it.
- Actions: New Conversation and Toggle Dark Mode.
- Conversations and Contacts: once you type 2 characters, the bar also searches your workspace. It shows up to 6 conversations and 5 contacts.
Conversations match the contact's name and email, the subject, the message text and the conversation number. The bar finds open and pending conversations that you are allowed to see. Contacts match name, email and phone number.
Use it with the keyboard
- Press Cmd+K or Ctrl+K.
- Type a few letters, for example a customer's name or a page like "reports".
- Move through the results with the arrow keys and press Enter to open one.
- Press Esc to close the bar. Cmd+K or Ctrl+K closes it too.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't a page show up?
The bar leaves out pages your role cannot open. A page your plan does not include stays in the list with "Available on" and the plan that has it. Picking it opens the billing page, or for Campaigns and Help Center the page itself, which shows what your plan allows.
Can I search by conversation number?
Yes. Type the number, for example 93 or #93, and the conversation shows under Conversations.
Why can't I find a resolved conversation?
The command bar only looks at open and pending conversations, and not at conversations the AI bot is still handling on its own. Use the search above the conversation list and pick the right folder and status. See Search conversations and see where they match.
Why do I only see a few results?
The bar shows up to 6 conversations and 5 contacts, to keep it quick. For a full list, use the search above the conversation list.
Does the shortcut work on every page?
Yes, on every page of the dashboard. The Search button in the rail opens the same bar.
Can I start a new conversation from here?
Yes. Pick New Conversation. The conversation list opens with the new conversation form, where you choose the contact and the inbox to send from. See Handling your first conversation.
