After a downgrade: paused campaigns and automation rules
When your plan no longer includes campaigns or automation rules, Deskwoot pauses them, emails every administrator and keeps everything so you can edit or delete it.

When your plan no longer includes campaigns or automation rules, Deskwoot pauses them automatically. This happens after a downgrade, when a trial ends, when a subscription is canceled or stays unpaid, or when a promotion runs out. Nothing is deleted, every administrator gets an email, and nothing switches itself back on after an upgrade.
What gets paused
- Campaigns need the Business plan or higher. Campaigns that are switched on and not sent yet are switched off and show as Draft. A campaign that is being sent at that very moment finishes.
- Automation rules need the Startup plan or higher. Every active rule is switched off.
- Your public help center is not affected. A published help center stays online.
What you get
Every administrator gets one email in their own language. It says how many campaigns and rules were paused and has buttons that open the Campaigns page and the automation rules, plus a link to billing.
What you can still do
The Campaigns page and Settings > Automation stay open. A notice at the top says which plan the feature needs, with an Upgrade plan button. You can open, edit and delete everything that is there. Creating something new or switching something on needs a plan that includes it.
After an upgrade
Nothing resumes by itself. Open each campaign or rule you want back and switch it on again. This way nothing starts sending or running before you have checked it. See Sending campaigns and Creating automation rules.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my automation rules stop after the trial?
Your trial included them and your plan after the trial does not. Deskwoot paused them automatically. Upgrade to Startup or higher and switch them on again.
Are paused campaigns sent later on their own?
No. They stay paused until someone switches them on again on a plan that includes campaigns.
Did I lose any data?
No. Campaigns, rules and their settings stay as they were. Only the switch is off.
What happens to a campaign that was sending right then?
It finishes. Campaigns that had not started yet are paused.
Does a downgrade take my help center offline?
No. The public help center is not part of this. You can still unpublish or delete it yourself.
Who gets the email?
Every administrator of the workspace who has accepted the invitation and is not suspended. Each one gets a single email for that pause.
Which plans include campaigns and automation rules?
Automation rules: Startup, Business and Enterprise. Campaigns: Business and Enterprise. See Plans and pricing.
